Samsung is once again the world's largest smartphone vendor

With shipments of 83.2 million handsets in Q1 2015, Samsung is once again the world’s largest smartphone vendor, beating out Apple’s shipments of 61.2 million iPhones during the quarter.

The latest numbers from market research firm Strategy Analytics show Samsung achieving a market share of 24.1 percent in Q1 2015, with Apple coming in at second place with a market share of 17.7 percent.
