Remove old iCloud backup :
To remove your old iCloud storage you just have to delete the entire iCloude backup for any iOS device. If you need any of storage from your iCloud backup, then you have to restore them in the iOS device and wait until the restore operations get completed before deleting your backups. But remember that once you have deleted your iCloud backup for an iOS device, iCloud will totally stop to backup the device automatically. This backup removing process can be operated from your iOS device, even from your Mac or Windows computer.
Remove a backup using your iOS device
To remove the backup by using a iOS device, you just have to follow the easy steps bellow.
- For iOS 8 device: Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage, then tap Manage Storage.
- For iOS 7 device: Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup, then tap Manage Storage.
- Then just tap the name of the device whose backup need to delete, and tap Delete Backup.
Remove a backup using your Mac
You can also remove your iCloud backup of your iOS device by using a Mac by following the bellow steps.
- At first you have to choose Apple menu, then go to System Preferences.
- Select iCloud and then click Manage.
- Now just click the Backups icon at the left then select an iOS device at the right whose backup you need to be deleted, then just click Delete.
Remove a backup using your Windows computer
The iCloud backup of your iOs device could be also removed by using your Windows computer by some easy steps.
- First you have to open iCloud for your Windows, then click the Storage.
- Now just click the Backups icon at the left then select an iOS device at the right whose backup you need to be deleted, then just click Delete.
If you don’t find Backups in your Windows or Macs screen, your iOS device don’t have any iCloud backup.
If you had used multiple iDevices in the past, or if you are using your new device with the iCloud account which was used in the device you used before, then you can clear the backup of that device. Here going to learn to do.
- First you have Open Settings
- Then go to General → Usage
- Then Scroll down to the iCloud section and tap on Manage Storage
- You can also go to iCloud storage via Settings → iCloud → Manage Storage
- Then delete your old iCloud Backups from iPhone or iPad by Tap on the device name under Backup
- Next, tap on Delete Backup and select Delete.
