Turn on Find my iPhone in Settings

The feature ‘Find my iPhone’ uses your iCloud account to store and sync data, so you’ll must need an iCloud account to use the service. You just need to keep in mind that Find my iPhone uses your Apple ID to correlate devices with your account, so you’ll need to use the same one on all of them.

The turning on process of the feature Find my iPhone is very simple. Just follow the steps.

Step 1: Just go to the Settings -> iCloud->Find my iPhone.

Step 2: Then slide the virtual switch to the right until it goes green. This means that the feature has got activated.

But remember that when an iPhone is turned off, or its charge level gets below the warning, then this feature cannot work as there didn’t any signal being sent from the device. So this could be very unlucky for you if you’ve left your phone somewhere and the battery drains before you get realized that it’s gone. With Send Last Location you will at least know where it was when the power finally ran out.

Step 3: Beneath the Find my iPhone setting you’ll find another option named ‘Send Last Location’. It means that your iPhone will send location data to Apple just before each time it runs out of battery. Slide the switch across to enable this essential feature.

If you don’t have another Apple device, and you have failed to manage the other one then you don’t have to worry. You can get access to the feature Find my iPhone via the iCloud website.

Step 1: You just have to simply log in with your Apple ID, launch the Find my iPhone app and you’ll notice a map with the location of your gadget displayed.

Step 2: Then just click on the green dot and when the gadget name is shown click the information icon on the right.

Step 3: Now you’ll get the same three options – Play Sound, Lost Mode, and Erase iPhone or iPad – as it would be seen on the Find my iPhone app.
